SprutCAM X

Robot programming and simulation combined with SprutCAM X

To process sculptures, yacht molds and design objects using wood, foam and marble, you can program your robot with SprutCAM

You can create tool paths with SprutCAM X in laser cutting, welding and cladding applications and perform visual inspection with the simulation feature.

Beyond being just a robot simulation software, SprutCAM X Robot stands out thanks to its superior features in robot programming and trajectory creation. As an offline programming software, SprutCAM X includes the following features:

  • Tool path calculation for any application
  • Simulation
  • Optimization for singularity and collision-free motions
  • Postprocessing

The tool path is calculated according to the 6 axes the robot has and there is no need for an additional pass to use the 6th axis. There are also functions with collision detection, singularity avoidance and work area limitation features customized according to robot models.

Toolpath Calculation

Robotic machining, cutting, welding, additive manufacturing, polishing, trimming, deburring, painting, etc. Provides comprehensive tool path creation strategies for processes.

Rough Discharge Tool Path:
Parallel, equidistance, high-speed, adaptive machining, planar machining, rotary axis machining, boring and more

Finishing Tool Path:
Finishing waterline, plane, scallop (3D fixed step-over), morph, axial machining, 5D surfacing

Contour Tool Path:
2D, 3D, 5D

Special Tool Paths:
Stone/Marble rough processing, welding, heat treatment, sculpture/model processing

Optimization

Check for singularity, collisions/interferences, reach limits and excess axis movements with robot axis mapping.

Controlled Axes:
A6(6th axis), linear axes, rotary table, main and rotation axes.

Traceable Attributes:
Reach limits, limit axis points, singularities, collisions/interferences, tool path.

Auto Create:
Clicking on the “Auto-generate” tab is often enough.

Sensitivity Control:
Make changes to the simulation preview at any point in the tool path in real time.

Simulation

It is possible to perform robot cell and material processing simulations. High resolution and smooth images.

Robot Cell Simulation:
It is possible to use robots, tables, linear axes, grippers, fencing, fixtures, tool changers and any imported 3D models.

Material Processing, Additive Manufacturing, Painting/Spraying:

You can easily create the model and perform the simulation with simulation modes specific to all these processes.

Creating a Robot Program

Creating Robot cell kinematics with the Machine Maker application specific to Robot cell kinematics:
The easy-to-use robot kinematics creation application SprutCAM is included in the installation package.

TCP and Base Calibration:
Thanks to the application for fast and precise TCP calibration, it is possible to easily transfer this data to SprutCAM.

Postprocessor:
Special postprocessors for KUKA, FANUC, YASKAWA, ABB, Staubli, Nachi and other robot manufacturers are included. We provide postprocessor customization specific to your application.

Ability to Work with Different Robot Brands

SprutCAM X robot kinematics library features a wide variety of models from major robot manufacturers. In addition, thanks to standard drafts, it is also possible to quickly create special kinematics for robots and components.

Synchronization of Additional Axes

SprutCAM X supports control of the robot and an unlimited number of linear axes and positions. The synchronous movement of robots on the linear axis during part processing can be programmed in this way. With this method, it is possible for robots to process parts on the rotary table synchronously. Additional axes can be controlled automatically by defining rule sets, or manually with a special “robot axis optimizer”.
